Wildfitness was founded in 2001 by Tara Wood. Tara was brought up in Kenya and found that being outdoors, active and eating well can flip your mood and boost your health like no medicine can. She created the Wildfitness holiday courses as the natural expression of her passion for the outdoors and belief in the potential of the human body. Tara is consistently developing the courses, getting closer and closer to her ultimate “wild” experience with expertise drawn from people at the forefront of the natural and evolutionary fitness field.
While we still believe there’s no substitute for the experience of being in nature itself, we realise that not everyone is able to live between the beach, jungle and mountains! The purpose of this blog is to keep “Wild Ones” who have been on one of our holiday courses buzzing with inspiration once they return to the ‘urban jungle’ and to open up discussion on the best ways to stay lean, strong, pain-free and revved with raw energy… to be full of vigour and vitality just as nature designed us to be!
